George Westinghouse Patents Alternating Current Electric Motor

This public notice printed in the Pittsburgh Daily Post on May 10, 1890 listed George Westinghouse’s patent for an “alternating current electric motor” among a dozen others that had been recently issued. Unfortunately, it was mis-information.

The Westinghouse patent at issue was not for an electric MOTOR, but for an electric METER. For proof, check out this link.
