Pays Last Tribute to Westinghouse
This article ran in The New York Times on March 14, 1914 reporting on the funeral of George Westinghouse the previous day.
Here’s a quote from his eulogy. “He was pure in life, chaste in speech, reverant toward women, curteous, and kindly to all. No change of fortune brought a tolerance or love of vice. In social life, he was gentle, moderate, unaffected, sensible, and delightful in manner to the lowliest. Wherever he went, wherever he was, he stood for high manhood, a true patriotism, and the graces of the Christian character.”
